Chetan Saini

Chef Chetan Saini always had a deep passion for cooking from the age of 17. His mother who was an excellent cook herself, was his source of inspiration. He spent a lot of time watching his mother and was exposed to the vast array of spices and vegetables used in North Indian cuisine. Chef Chetan was always known for experimenting with food to create the most perfect flavors, suitable for any palette. He was also intrigued by Indian cinema and has always enjoyed watching Indian movies since he grew up in Mumbai. He decided to fuse his passion for cooking and Indian cinema to create Bollywood Bistro - a progressive Indian vegetarian restaurant with a contemporary Bollywood themed ambiance. The large creative menu has quirky names to the dishes as a tribute to Indian cinema, popularly known as “Bollywood”.

Chef Chetan’s cooking has a strong emotional component rooted in childhood food memories. He cooks from his heart and pours his passion into his craft. Some of his popular creations include Taco Tikka Masala, Spicy Masala Fries, Paneer Piripiri and Tandoori Paneer Flatbread along side traditional dishes like Chole Bhature, Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Makhani and Malai Kofta.

Bollywood Bistro is one of the consistently highest-rated restaurants in the Chicagoland area on Google and Yelp and has received recognition from Yelp three years in a row, as one of the most highly rated restaurants. His personable and charismatic personality makes his hospitality second to none.
